Pilot work on PPE in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

Work on the PMU in the territory of Yakutia was carried out in two stages: in 1995-1997. and in 2003-2005. In 1995, a flight expedition was carried out, during which reconnaissance flights were carried out to study cloudiness at the test site and to test the possibility of using the developed PMU technology in relation to the region of Central Yakutia. The results of the work confirmed the economic efficiency of conducting operational and production work on PPE in this region.

In total, in 1995-1997 and 2003-2005. 7 flight expeditions were performed on An-26, An-30 and Il-18 aircraft equipped with quick-detachable technical means as part of an aircraft generator of fine ice particles on liquid nitrogen (GMCHL-A), a firing system for squibs PV-26 and PV-50, and a measuring-computing complex (MCC).

General data on completed in 1995-1997 and 2003-2005. work on the PPM in Yakutia are shown in Table 1. The main results of the pilot work on the PPM in the Central part of Yakutia are presented in Table 2.

Thus, the use of the AB technology on clouds made it possible to increase the monthly amount of precipitation in the work area from 10 to 117%, i.e. monthly receive an additional 40 to 365 million tons of fresh water. Estimates of the economic efficiency of work on the IPM in Yakutia showed that the cost of one ton of water obtained as a result of active impact on precipitation-forming cloud systems does not exceed 0.003 US dollars, which indicates the high economic efficiency of the technology of artificial regulation of precipitation as a means to solve the shortage problem fresh rain water.
