Synoptic situation over the center of the European Territory of Russia (ETR) on June 22, 2020 was determined by the southern periphery of the anticyclone and the high-altitude ridge over the northwest of the ETR. Weak winds of variable directions prevailed in the entire thickness of the troposphere. In the east of the Smolensk region, clouds of the middle and upper tier were observed flowing from the west to the Moscow region, which could interfere with the ongoing events.

In accordance with the flight plan, at 04:09 MSK AN-12 (b/n 12) aircraft was lifted into the air from the Chkalovsky airfield, which monitored the cloud situation in the western part of the Moscow air zone at distances of 150-170 km from the Patriot Park territory. During the day, similar flights were performed by AN-12 (b/n 15), AN-12 (b/n 94396), AN-12 (b/n 26) and Yak-42D “Roshydromet” aircrafts.

Along with the monitoring of the weather situation by the AN-12 aircraft (b/n 94396), the seeding of packages with coarse powder were carried out in order to suppress the high-cumulus clouds flowing from the west in the Vyazma –Yukhnov area.

The work to create favorable weather conditions on the territory of the Patriot Park was completed at 18:00 MSK on June 22, 2020.

A total of 5 flights were carried out on June 22, 2020.

According to radar observations, precipitation was not observed on the territory of Patriot Park on June 22, 2020.
