In a cloudy environment, carbon dioxide, having an evaporation temperature of minus 78.9 \u00b0 C, creates a strong cooling, as a result of which, due to the supersaturation of water vapor, spontaneous formation of small ice crystals occurs. During its evaporation, 1 g of solid carbon dioxide generates 10<sup>11 <\/sup>ice particles.
